POSITION SUMMARY:

Steward has been at the forefront of transitioning from volume to value-based care and has an established track record of success in managing the health risk of our populations. Steward Health Care Network (SHCN) is seeking motivated candidates with previous professional experience in software application support (ideally healthcare) and a strong desire to learn. The Application Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day application systems support for population health applications utilized within SCHN. This position reports directly to the Manager of Population Health Applications.

Essential Duties and Primary Accountabilities:

* Provide day-to-day support of referral management, event notification, provider database, patient facing Doctor Finder, and Provider Connect applications.

* Primary contact person for all application Helpdesk tickets and user requests and issues.

* Primary support for user access management; manages and troubleshoots application access and security issues.

* Serve as subject matter expert for multiple applications in use by SHCN care management, provider enrollment, executive leadership team, provider and patient population.

* Responsible for identifying application problems and suggests resolutions.

* Write and maintain system documentation.

* Support SHCN application implementations, change requests, integration, and enhancements.

* Assist in new application development by vendors and in documenting via defined Business and Technical Requirements.


Required Knowledge & Skills
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to then identify potential delays/roadblocks and escalate to management.
* Ability to utilize strong interpersonal skills when interfacing with all levels of staff.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, leadership, vendors, customers.
* Strong customer service orientation (responsive).
* Ability to prioritize work and multitask with time management skills.
* Strong computer skills.
* Familiarity with quality measure programs is desirable.
* Prior project management experience with small to medium-sized projects is desirable.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL/OTHER:

I.Education: Bachelors' Degree preferred.

II.Experience:

* 1 - 3 years' experience in an Analyst role within a health care organization

* 1 - 3 years' experience in application support, troubleshooting, and direct end user and super user support.

* 1 - 3 years' experience managing end user access and documenting and/or following end user access policies.

* 1 - 3 years' experience with managing large populations of end users (internal and external) for multiple applications.

* 1 - 3 years' experience implementing applications (preferably in a health care organization)

III.Software: Microsoft Office (excel, powerpoint, etc). Population Health-related applications desired, but not required. business intelligence tools.
