Position Purpose: Reporting to the Director, Analytics, the Senior Clinical Healthcare Analyst will develop clinical program statistical impact analysis, reporting to audit workflow improvements and dashboards/ scorecards that monitor essential KPIs for several post-acute initiatives. The Senior Clinical Analyst will partner with Informatics to build out tools to share dashboard content internal SHCN clinical operations staff.

  • Manage risk stratification and enhance with predictive modeling to help identify opportunities to improve and enhance the analysis and information provided to customers
  • Works with analysts and analytic tool vendors (Innovaccer) to improve standard report design
  • Supports ad hoc analytic requests, providing accurate and timely data, analysis, and insightful interpretations
  • Build ROI Models for Care Management Program Evaluation
  • Build efficacy models for government program grants
  • Supports accurate loading, maintenance, and reporting of provider and membership data
  • Works with SHCN staff to assure data accuracy and integrity
  • Participates in efforts to select, design, and implement optimal hardware and software in support of SHCN data analytics and reporting
  • Acts as a mentor to junior analytic staff and as a resource across SHCN regarding claims data and data management principles
  • Other duties as assigned based on business needs

Education / Experience / Other Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required, Master’s preferred

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare, with significant experience in analytics or informatics
  • Familiarity with episode groupers strongly preferred

Specialized Knowledge:

  • SQL/SAS, Python, R and/or other query/analytic tools
  • Strong analytic and technical skills plus an ability to translate complicated data into useable information
  • Strong skills in SQL, Excel, Tableau
  • Experience working in HealthCatalyst or other Enterprise Warehouse System
  • Organizational and project management skills to manage projects through effective planning, resource allocation, and completion
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relationships between health plans and providers, including detailed understanding of health plan data
  • In-depth understanding of medical claims & billing data, including ICD-10 codes, DRGs, health status, and risk adjusters
  • Familiarity with episode groupers a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, and ability to relate positively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Creative, flexible, and self-motivated with sound judgment and ability to plan and implement
  • Commitment to service excellence
