Job Description

  • Partner with the local chapter team, particularly the Regional Executive Director of Operations, and MSO operations to assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives designed at enhancing patient performance within the risk based population
  • Regularly review financial performance with the local and national financial and operational leads and makes strategic adjustments or recommendations as needed to achieve programmatic and corporate goals
  • Analyze and prepare reports regarding network performance; participates in all operational planning and review meetings, including the monthly close and operating reviews
  • Work with SHCN operations and finance on annual budgeting and periodic forecast performance activities
  • Collaborate with SHCN Network Development team to grow the physician network within the region
  • Regularly visit practices and engage with providers in Space & Treasure Coasts
  • Performs other duties as requested.

2.  The VP Network will be primarily responsible for oversight and management of the local physician network, including management of the physician chapter and regional boards and associated medical directors. In this capacity, the VP Network will:

  • Oversee the local board governance model and assist in the creation of policies to guide network activities
  • Develop and maintaining peer-to-peer physician and practice relationships in the community to support SHCN goals
  • Work with the SHCN ACO CMO, along with the chairs of the regional and local chapter boards, to facilitate the execution of an effective physician governance model in the communities that we serve
  • Work closely with local operations to assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives designed at enhancing patient performance within the risk based population

3.  The VP Network will support local SHCN managed care contracts. The role will involve:

  • Support of the Managed Care team during the phase of negotiation and development of contracts, assisting the team as needed
  • Collaboration with the local team in conjunction with the Regional Executive Director of Operations to support implementation of the parameters of each agreement and subsequent performance to achieve outlined goals in the agreements
  • Serve as primary liaison for the health plan for medical director/clinical discussions

 

The VP Network will work with SHCN marketing and corporate leadership to cultivate community relationships in the local market in support of Steward Health Care

 

Education:   

·         Medical degree (MD or DO)

·         Completion of accredited medical residency, preferably in primary care

Years of Experience:  

·         5 years in clinical work

·         Prior experience in healthcare administration and leadership roles

Specialized Knowledge:  

·         Understanding of accountable care and value-based care models

·         Deep understanding of local healthcare market in east central Florida

·         Ability to gather, analyze, and act upon clinical and performance-related data
